Jean-Marie Simon is a photographer, writer and consultant to human rights organization such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch/Americas. The photos used in this web site were selected from her beautiful and disturbing book "Guatemala: Eternal Spring, Eternal Tyranny" (WW Norton, 1987), which details life and human rights violations in Guatemala from the Lucas Garcia regime through the election of Vinicio Cerezo.
