During your GRE Quantitative Ability section, 7-9 (out of 28) questions will focus chiefly on algebra concepts. (They'll be interspersed with arithmetic, number theory, geometry, and data-analysis questions.) The test-makers use both the Problem Solving format and the Quantitative Comparison format for algebra questions.
