GRE Quantitative Practice Questions — Standard Multiple-Choice

Here you'll find a series of eight GRE Quantitative practice questions in the standard multiple-choice format (where only one of five choices can be correct). You'll probably find earlier questions to be simpler and easier than later ones.

NOTE: During the actual GRE exam, each Quantitative Reasoning section will include several questions in this format. They'll be mixed with complex multiple-choice questions (where one or more choices can be correct) and with questions in the Numeric Entry and Quantitative Comparison formats.

Instructions for Practice Questions:
  1. Review the test directions (below).

  2. Go to any of the numbered practice questions. You can select an answer choice by clicking on a button.

  3. Scroll down the page for the correct answer and an analysis of the question. Click on "Directions" to return to this page.

  4. This is not a timed test. But if you want to simulate timed testing conditions, limit yourself to 1¾ minutes per question, on average.
