Karen Lee Stevens, Founder of ALL FOR ANIMALS.
I'd like to welcome you to our Web site! From Animal Rescue Groups to the
Zoological Gardens, you'll find an abundance of information about animals
and nature in the Santa Barbara, California area.
I was fortunate to grow up here in the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. As a kid, I spent alot of my time as a Junior Volunteer at the Santa Barbara Zoo (then known as the Child's Estate) and as a volunteer at the Santa Barbara Humane Society.
The focus of this site is to create awareness of the many individuals and groups in Santa Barbara who are dedicated to bettering the lives of animals. You'll be introduced to animal rescue and rights groups, pet related goods and services, nature/wildlife organizations, and national groups. You can also browse the Calendar of Events page and Photo Gallery of adoptable cats, dogs, and bunnies from area shelters.
While I was doing research for this site, I learned of the many horrors that animals endure on a continual basis; most horrific to me was the abuse that takes place in animal laboratories. That's why I've dedicated a portion of this site to informing you about animal testing and several Santa Barbara companies which have made a commitment to only manufacture and sell products that have NOT been tested on animals.
Meet the co-founder of ALL FOR ANIMALS, my beloved feline friend, Cassidy, who passed away in March, 2000.
