  • Wellbore Damage
Skin damage frequently cannot be overcome by perforating. DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® produces fractures extending several feet beyond the depth of the perforation tunnels. This establishes connection with the undamaged reservoir, thereby increasing inflow.

  • Close Oil/Water Contact, Close Oil/Gas Contact, or Close Gas/Water Contact
Hydraulic fracturing or acidizing such zones often results in excessive vertical fracture growth. DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® restricts vertical fracture growth and vastly reduces out of zone stimulating.

  • Multiple Zones
In contrast with hydraulic stimulation where isolation of each zone is essential for stimulation, DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® can be applied in multiple zone wells to stimulate specific zones without the need for mechanical isolation.

  • Fluid-Sensitive Zones
Such zones, particularly in gas wells, can be stimulated with DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® under non-damaging fluids, such as liquid CO2, methanol, diesel fuel, kerosene distillates, or other similar liquids.

  • Slotted Liners and Wire Screen - Depositional Damage and Skin Damage
DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® is used to stimulate through slots, screens, gravel packs, and the formation. Chemicals, such as scale inhibitors, clay stabilizers, solvents, or acids may be used in conjunction with this treatment.

  • Fractured Reservoirs - Oil, Gas, and Geothermal
DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® provides a unique fracture pattern, including fractures in a non-hydraulic direction which intercept and connect with the natural fracture pattern.

  • Carbonates
DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® is used in carbonates to provide an in-zone fracture network which can be extended and enlarged by an acid flush.

  • Injection of Chemicals
DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® provides and ideal method of injecting various chemicals which are spotted in the wellbore opposite the zone to be treated. These chemicals include scale inhibitors, clay stabilizers, or solvents.

  • Horizontal Wells
DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® is used in single run lengths up to 304.80 metres (1,000 ft.) in horizontal wells in open hole, pre-perforated liners, cemented and perforated casing. Run tubing conveyed, with or without packers, and with or without tubing anchors.

  • Sand Control
DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® is used in combination with sand control polymers. DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® provides the pump capacity to inject the polymer into the formation where it is catalyzed with acid pumped in from the surface.

  • Injection Wells
DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® is used to increase injectivity and for profile modification in injection wells, including water, steam, CO2 and water disposal.

  • Pre-Frac Breakdown
Tight formations require expensive high pressure, high horsepower hydraulic pump equipment. Used as a pre-frac breakdown, DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® typically lowers breakdown pressures and insures the fracture treatment is initiated in zone. Post DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® inflow evaluation can assist in subsequent treatment design.

  • Gas Storage Wells
DGPL®/STRESSFRAC® is used to increase injectivity and deliverability in gas storage fields.
