Brain cell Color/Pattern association

This is a GIF animation. If the pattern does not cycle
between a horizontal red bar and a vertical green bar pattern,
switch to a browser that supports such things.
Instructions:
- Stare at the changing pattern above for a few minutes, to
"train" your brain.
- Scroll down to the image below. It is uncolored. See if you
can detect traces of color that your brain is placing into the
image.
More Info:
- If you don't see any colors you may not have observed the
color-changing bars for long enough.
- This is more than simple retinal fatigue. The effect can last
up to a week or more! The brain cells in the visual cortex are
actually being programmed as you stare at the color-changing pattern.
