Notes
The information regarding Jeremiah Boltz was taken from the 1860 and 1870
Census of Iowa County, English Township. There are several differences
in spelling of the names and some significant change in the age of
Elmira, Elmyra or Almira. In 1860 she was 36, and in 1870 she was 40.
Vanity, thy name is woman.
In 1860 the census stated that the farm was worth $1000 and personal
possessions totaled $400.
In the Millersburg Cemetery there is a gravestone that states that
Jeremiah Boltz died in 1871 aged 11 years.
In the 1880 Census of the US Almira Boltz, son Jerry, age 15, and
daughter Emma, age 13, are listed.
