Street (Manhattan). Organized: 1905 with seven members, now 110 members.
Composition: Mixed, 5% American born, 10% are not Felshtin compatriots.
Language spoken at meetings: Yiddish. Cultural Activities: lectures,
entertainment, distributing printed materials. Purpose: Mutual aid,
sickness and death benefits, cemetery plots, loan bank, fund for needy,
support of local institutions. Secretary: I. Fishbayn, 724 East 160th
Street, Bronx. First Felshtiner Women’s Auxiliary. Meetings: First and third Saturdays, 40 East 7th Street (Manhattan). Organized: 1934 with seven members, now 60 members. Composition: Housewives, 5% American born, 10% are not Felshtin compatriots. Language spoken at meetings: Yiddish. Cultural Activities: lectures, entertainment, helping distribute printed materials, fund for needy, support of local institutions. Secretary: Mrs. Mini Kum, 1978 Bathgate Avenue, Bronx.
