on Felshtin in Newsday, February 28, 1999, written
by Barbara Fischkin!
- For
the first time in 62 years, the entire 670-page Felshtin yizkor
book has been translated into English, thanks to the organizing
efforts of Sid
Shaievitz,
the exceptional talents of translator Sora
Ludmir,
and many others who helped make this project a reality.
- A
remarkable variety of documents between 1765 and 1913 relevant
to people seeking information about Felshtin and Felshtiners
still exist in Russia and Ukraine. We've
assembled a partial list with links to reputable research firms.
We've also made recent additions to the Felshtin-Ukraine bibliography and added links
to maps of the Podolia region at the bottom of the home page.
- Our
small Felshtin
Gallery
is now open. If you have any photographs taken in Felshtin, or
photos of Felshtiners, please have them scanned and e-mail them
to us to include in the Gallery.
