Bob Stewart and Adam Makowicz in Concert
Adam just came from Poland, where he had a
very successful recital at the VI Festival of Chamber Music, held at
the Paderewski Estate, in southern Poland. It is an annual event, this year
called "BRAVO MAESTRO", under the honorary artistic patronage of Krzysztof
Penderecki, and the sponsorship of Minister of Culture and governor of
Tarnow region. Many famous classical musicians perform for a week. Adam was
given his own day, the only jazz performance during the festival. He
also performed at the Musical Marathon with ten other virtuosos,
closing the festival. Then he performed solo at the Jewish Cultural
Festival dedicated to the famous writer Isaac Bashevis Singer held
in and around the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw, also for a whole week.
