Kunio Hagio was born and raised
in Chicago, Illinois.
His over thirty years in commercial art has seen
him involved in teaching at Syracuse University
to guest lecturing at the Art Institute of Chicago.
He has participated in the United Nations Environmental
Program and the Air force Art Program.
His list of awards include Gold
and Silver medals from the Society of Illustrators,
the Key Art Award, the Andy and many others. Recently
he participated in a Christie's auction benefiting
the new Robert Zemeckis Center for the Arts. His work
started commercially with editorial, advertising,
book and movie commissions, and has now gone on to
include private collections. He now resides and works
with his family in Sedona, Arizona.
