Student's Question of the Week
Q: How can I improve my writing skills?
A:
One of the methods that seems to improve written expression is breaking writing
assignments down into steps. This approach uses different parts of the brain
and different types of thinking at each step. You can take advantage of all
your talents and support the area that is the most challenging for you.
The last Question of the Week introduced visualization for reading comprehension. By practicing paying close attention to how you think creatively about your topic, you can bring what you imagine into the realm of words more and more effectively. Writing in a journal daily is another way to make the transformation of thoughts, feelings and perspectives into language flow more smoothly.
