Student's Question of the Week

Q: What are some websites that give me information about disabilities?
A: It is stimulating to see what work people around the nation, and even globe, have been doing by investigating websites. If you are interested in a list of weblinks on different topics related to disabilities, The Center for Research on Learning at the University of Kansas has prepared just such a resource, designed especially for college students.
This link takes you to "Web Resources for Assisting College Students with Disabilities". The authors are Roger O. Smith, Jill Warnke and Dave Edyburn of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and Noelle K. Kurth and Daryl F. Mellard of the University of Kansas.
Feel free to let us know of your recommended links by sending in an email message: just click here to do so. You may wish to contact one of the KU researchers by following directions on their site. If you have any other questions, feel free to call the DSPS office to make an appointment with a counselor or learning specialist (SBCC DSPS: 805/965-0581, ext. 2364).
