Q: Why did the terrorists attack the World Trade Center and the Pentagon?

A: Americans are shocked at the level of violence aimed at them by the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

Marshall Brain's website on "How Stuff Works" attempts to explain through many links several of the questions that students have been asking about the attack, what might be the motives of those who would use violence in such a way? He even touches upon details about buildings and other related topics.

For those of you who may be feeling upset, please speak with a teacher or a personal counselor on your campus. At SBCC, each student may visit a personal counselor in SS 170 six times as part of your Student Health Fee. It may be helpful to share your feelings and perspectives with others at this time. Know that your mental and physical health are top priorities for all the SBCC Community.
