Teacher's Question of the Week

Q: What should campus personnel consider when evaluating the accessibility of the college?
A: Click here to go to a campus report card developed by the Center for Research on Learning at the University of Kansas. While the feeling of a report card brings up an odd feeling for many, if you scroll down to the tables, the authors have taken the time to list many excellent questions that we should be asking about our own campus's accessibility. Much of the thinking has been done in relation to shared experiences across campuses, and what is provided can be used as is or adapted to fit the unique circumstances of your setting. The questioning format invites the reader to see campus from others' perspectives.
The premise is that all students who can benefit from college instruction should be able to access all aspects of the educational environment.
