| This beautiful creature is a hawksbill turtle. We saw it on our very first dive in Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras. I was armed with a MotorMarine and a wide-angle lens, which was extremely fortunate since the turtle was pretty far away (that's also why the colors aren't too great - this is natural lighting). Since our first trip to Central America in 1992 we've only seen about 4 turtles - unfortunately they are very popular with hunters because of their beautiful shells. |
