For land and wedding photography I use a Minolta X-700 SLR. It's
all manual so I can adjust things the way I want to. I have a
bunch of special effects filters, but I don't use them very often.
The filters I use most frequently are close-ups. Unfortunately
my favorite lens was ruined when our roof leaked - on April Fool's
Day (I was not amused). It was a 28-210mm with macro capabilities.
If you have a recommendation for something similar, please drop
me a line: shelly@spectron.com!
Underwater I usually use a SEA&SEA MotorMarine II. It's a
'point 'n shoot' camera so it's easier to use than the Nikonos
cameras, plus you can change lenses under water. (However, the
results are often not as professional-looking as you'd get with
a Nikonos
) I recommend NOT using the built-in flash, because
if there are any particles in the water you will get backscatter
on your photos - use a separate strobe instead. I use an Ikelite
Substrobe.

slimy stuff, and people.
I took this shot of a black-eyed goby at Anacapa Island, located
in the Channel Islands off the coast of Santa Barbara. I was using
a Nikonos with extension tubes, so I had to wait until the 4"
goby swam into my framer - about 15 minutes! Patience really pays
off in photography! Locally I almost always do macro photography,
because the visibility is so low you can't really get good shots
of much else (except at the Islands).
