Your Web site is like putting a brochure into the hands of your clients. It should contain a bit about your business, a bit about you and photographs of your product. It should have your company logo and be consistent with advertising promotions you use elsewhere - local newspapers, telephone directories - it must reinforce your presence. You want people to associate a name, picture of graphic with YOU and no one else.

What else can it do?

Your Web site can also include links to parent companies, your civic groups and even fun sites you like. Web sites should be fun. It keeps people coming back if you offer a bit of trivia along with your product or service information. Add a link to your town's site, your chamber of commerce or your local schools.

A basic Web site can be arranged for as little as $100. An elaborate site can be created for thousands. Your needs determine what is best for you and your company.
