Ashleigh's gospel presented as a "sermon" from the pulpit
of All Souls Unitarian Church, Kansas City MO. The theme is supposedly
Faith, but it somehow gets into the subject of food, and climaxes
with Ashleigh's singing his famous pussy-cat feeding song, to
the tune of Offenbach's CAN-CAN.
TAPE 3:
"FREE SPEECH IN BEND AND BEYOND"
Ashleigh Brilliant speaks at Central Oregon Community College
in Bend, Oregon for the first time since 1965 when, as a young
professor, he was fired by that College in a famous free speech
controversy over "naughty words." The lecture includes
a reading of some of the original "Unpoemed Titles"
which were the very earliest form of what became Pot-Shots. After
receiving a standing ovation, Ashleigh answers questions from
the audience about his work.
