“To be of one mind we need to be firm in our ecclesial stand upon the matter, and that it is accepted by one and all. That being:-
OUR FELLOWSHIP POSITION ON THE “EXCEPTIVE CLAUSE” Members must accept that the fellowship believes divorce is scriptural for conjugal infidelity (Adultery) Matthew 19:9 Any Brother or Sister who disputes our fellowship position or rejects those who avail themselves of this scriptural position will not be accepted.
OUR FELLOWSHIP POSITION ON WHAT IS COMMONLY CALLED “THE PAULINE PRIVILEGE” (Based on the Constitution)
With respect to any who are troubled or have difficulties comprehending the issue with respect to the “Exceptive Clause” and the “Pauline Privilege” we would dispense mercy as per James 2:13 and Jude 22, on a case by case basis, as long as they accept and support the above fellowship stand, and can acknowledge that if any avail themselves of such, that the troubled brother or sister’s conscience is not defiled by thinking that those who marry again may be committing adultery. Because as the scripture states: 19 - Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, …. that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21”
This is our fellowship position with respect to the “exceptive clause” and the “Pauline Privilege”, and it supersedes all previous statements. This is a fellowship position and not an amendment to the “statement of faith”
