This is by no means a full list of software available to you on the Internet. It is however things we use and have some amount of knowledge on. At the end you will find some advanced programs and other useful tools, these are here for your use although we have limited support on these programs.

File Transfer Utilities
File transfer protocol (FTP) is how we download files from the Internet and Fetch is a most elegant way to do so. It replaces those arcane UNIX commands with a very easy to use graphical interface.

Another strong contender for FTP honors, this program also includes an easy to use Archie search engine that help you search for things by name.
StuffIt Expander 5.5
All files that you download from the Internet are compressed and procesed for fast and easy transport. Transparent usage along with drag and drop make this program the product of choice for post processing files. When combined with DropStuff, StuffitExpander can handle any type of file format you can find.
Reading the News
Although there are several Mac news readers, this one is the most feature laden and has over time, proven to be the best. It is written by John Norstad of Disinfectant fame.

Without a doubt, this is one of the easiest to use & most configurable Telnet clients available for the Mac.
