Westcott Says, "Hey I'm Qualified!"
Harold Furchtgott-Roth is a Commissioner on the Federal Communications
Commission.
Mr. Furchtgott-Roth does not own a television which proves that Americans
will fall for just about anything.
President Clinton appointed (and Congress approved) a person who has no
idea what he is regulating.
Hmmm, let's see now. He does not own a television but he regulated television
broadcasting.
If Mr. Furchtgott-Roth can get a job regulating an industry and not know
what that industry is all about then I guess I'm qualified for several
cushy federal jobs.
I don't know anything about finances so, I'm qualified to be the
Chairman of the Fed.
I'm not a doctor so, I'm qualified to be the Surgeon General.
I'm not an attorney so, I'm qualified to be the Attorney General.
I don't smoke, drink or own a gun so, I'm qualified to be the head
of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
Some say I don't have any common sense so, I'm qualified to be Vice
President.
I don't own a house and I don't live in the city so, I'm qualified
to be the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
I don't have any money so, I'm qualified to be Secretary of the
Treasury.
It seems to me that anyone appointed to a federal commission as a Commissioner
would, at least, be required to know a little about the industry that they
will be asked to regulate.
Oh yeah, there's one more federal job that I'm qualified for ..............
I don't inhale so, I'm qualified to be President.
