Why I Went After Howard Stern

Here's the story.

How Much Of The $1.7 Did I Get?

The Answer is . . .

You can read the whole story in articles and interviews that have appeared in . . .

The Los Angeles Times People Magazine The Washington Post

?? WHAT ??

As a result of my fight against Howard Stern and Infinity Broadcasting Company,
in 1995, Infinity engaged into a
multi-million dollar settlement with the FCC.

But after more than 4 years of Infinity's litigation and legal manipulation,
the FCC let Infinity off the hook

by vacating all complaints against them and allowing Infinity to make, something called,
"a voluntary contribution to the United States Treasury of $1.7 million!"

"A What?"

"A voluntary contribution to the Treasury?"

The FCC Said What?

Howard Stern is just the most vocal tip
of the broadcast indecency iceberg.
Television networks present daytime soaps and talk shows full of
'who's sleeping with whose father, mother, cousin, sister, brother and/or farm animal'.

And those 'wacky' talk radio shock-jocks increasingly assault us
with foul talk and fetish titilation.

It's hard to get away from it even when you're watching sports.
To give you an idea of what I'm talking about,
I brought two major television networks before the FCC
for their broadcasting of profane language during a baseball game.

It's hard to believe but, the FCC told me that
broadcasting the word 'Motherf**king' is "Free Speech"

I wonder what would happen if I stood on a street corner and
just yelled the word "Motherf**king" all day long?

"But, Your Honor, the FCC said it was "Free Speech!"

There is a bottom line to the issue of using public airwaves
to broadcast adult oriented material
at a time of day when it is accessible to children.

The bottom line is, . .
it's against the law! Period!!!

The question is, . .
Why is the law NOT being enforced?????
