"Some Girls Will Do Anything For A T-Shirt and
A Coffee Mug!"Let's say your 14 year old daughter says, "Hey Mom, the radio station is having a remote broadcast party, can I go?"
You figure, what's the harm it's a radio station party.
Well, here's a little fun from a party held by Howard Stern affiliate. WBUZ-FM ("The BUZZ") in Toledo, Ohio. It's called a "BUZZ-JOB".
But, then again, what's the harm, it's a radio station party. When she comes home, ask her exactly how she won that T-Shirt!
(Photo taken at a WBUZ-FM remote party) A blow-job, uh excuse me, a "BUZZ-JOB".
The guy getting the "BUZZ-JOB" doesn't quite look like a youngster, does he?
Notice all the on-lookers in the background.
Of course, it could just be a harmless hot-dog eating contest!
WESTCOTT'S COMMENTARY:As radio stations vie for bogus Arbitron ratings and advertisers spend their money on stations with high ratings, the stations themselves will do ANYTHING to get a few more ratings points.
It's no secret that sex sells and Howard Stern affiliates continue with indecency and obscenity even at their remote broadcasts.
It is also no secret that radio Arbitron ratings include an age group starting as 12 years old.
All I's saying is that Stern is 'adult' material. His affiliates cater to an 'adult' market.
With this in mind, it is not unreasonable to suggest that Stern be broadcast at a more 'adult' time of the day.
