RE: Woman squirts whisky from vagina in CBS radio station
The purpose of this letter is to alert the New York Board of Health of
a potentially devastating health hazard to the employees of New York City
radio station WXRK-FM owned by CBS Radio.
1) WXRK-FM is the headquarters of The Howard Stern Show, a radio program
broadcast daily in New York and more than 30 other radio stations in the
United States and Canada.
2) On December 10, 1997, at approximately 7:30 AM (EDT), at the request
of Mr. Stern, a woman entered the CBS Radio studio and proceeded to fill
her vagina with whisky and, through pelvic muscular control, the woman squirted
the liquid across the room and into the mouth of her husband.
3) The act was performed live on-the-air with millions of listeners to
serve as witnesses to the facts as stated. (Tape recordings of said broadcasts
are available from CBS Radio and WXRK-FM.)
This is a matter of utmost concern for the health of any and all persons
who may have come in contact with the liquid or in contact with any party
to the event. As an example, although it is not known whether the woman
is HIV positive but, should she be determined to be HIV positive, the potential
threat of spreading HIV infection to any WXRK-FM employee who may come in
contact with the liquid, is obvious.
For the protection of WXRK employees and visitors, here are a few questions
that need to be definitively answered.
1) Was this vagina fluid splashed on the floor and subsequently tracked
throughout the other studios and offices of CBS Radio?
2) Did this vagina fluid get splashed on equipment used by WXRK employees
thereby, raising the potential level of infection?
3) Was the studio cleaned after vagina fluids were sprayed?
4) Did any of the participants wash their hands after the presentation?
5) Following a chain of potential infection, who did the participants
and witnesses come in contact with after the presentation?
6) After inserting the bottle of whisky into the woman's vagina, was the
bottle disposed of properly, or was it merely thrown into a trash can?
7) Does the New York Board of Health consider this type of activity to
be an acceptable health risk to employees and visitors of WXRK?
I encourage you to investigate this matter with all due dispatch. The
health of the employees of WXRK-FM and visitors to this radio studio are
in immediate jeopardy.
In view of this woman's actions, at minimum all employees of WXRK-FM
should be required to be tested for HIV and WXRK-FM should be quarantined
until such time as the facilities have been tested for HIV infection and
decontaminated.
The HIV epidemic is a national crisis and the actions of CBS Radio, Howard
Stern and WXRK-FM are beyond the pale of an appropriate workplace environment.
Employees in any environment should not be subjected to such grievous health
risks. Simply stated, the potential of HIV infection should NOT be an occupational
hazard to unsuspecting employees of, or visitors to, a radio station.
You have the facts, I trust you will act with immediacy, urgency and to
the fullest extent of the law.
I await your response.
Sincerely,
